General Description
The Aluminium Terminal/Mozal Terminal, located at the industrial port of Matola, was inaugurated on March 16, 2000. The terminal has capacity to handle 1.4 milion tons per year raw material for the production of aluminium, essentially alumina, petroleum coke and pitch, as well as the outgoing 560000 tons of finished metal (for export). As of March 2012 Mozal exported over 5.5 million tons of Aluminium.
