A part of an initiative to improve the level of communication with customers, the management and executive teams of Port Maputo travelled to Johannesburg on the 4th of July to present the newly formulated business strategy, proposed changes at the port and and planned short term projects to both current and potential customers.

The customer engagement session took place at the City Lodge right beside the OR Tambo International Airport and had a total of 24 participants.Besides the 5-year strategy for the port, which foresees a massive volume growth and capacity increase, the customers also had an opportunity to obtain informationof recent changes in the Port of Maputo and how the port’s Masterplan is taking shape. A very interactive discussion session was held with the Maputo team providing answers to the many questions raised by the customers

The customer’s were, in general, surprised with the progress made in the last year and many committed to visit Maputo to get a first hand look at the port’s potential for business.
